PROJECT LIFE MONTSERRAT

This project aims to develop a set of management measures, in order to increase the resilience and stability of forests against fires, and thus improve the prevention of large fires in the Montserrat Mountain and its surroundings. In this context, traditional extensive livestock farming becomes a tool for landscape management. This innovative instrument, such as integrated silvicultural management, is the main point of connection between this project and the LIFE POLYFARMING. The researchers of both projects have met in different activities related to livestock management and its different applications in the management of the territory.
