VISIT TO BREEDERS OF MIXED PRODUCTION COW IN THE PLA DE L’ESTANY (GIRONA)

Technical visit (Pla de l’Estany, November 2, 2017). Given the interest of mixed breeds for the project, we have contacted with farmers in the region who work with this type of cow. We have visited them and we have discussed the characteristics of the breed and the possibility of management in managed intensive grazing systems. As a result of these discussions, we have proposed to collaborate, which allows us to start working with the Simental breed on the Planeses farm.
